I've spent most of my adult life as an advertising writer, which I've thoroughly enjoyed. I happen to love westerns and historical fiction, so when I had an idea about a cattle drive handled by an all-female crew, I started making notes and wrote the story in my spare time. I'm thrilled that so many readers have enjoyed it and kept me writing more in what's become a series.

I love stories, so when I'm not writing, I'm reading, watching shows and watching movies. Most of my remaining time is spent hiking in national parks or wondering why my cats have stopped liking that food they loved just the other day.

The photo on this page is my first-ever selfie, taken near the top of Angel's Landing in Zion National Park. Yes, my hair does defy gravity.
